Lagos based company, WESPHIL SYSTEMS, has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service by reaching out to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the Ichwa IDP camp in North Bank, Makurdi. This latest act of generosity is part of the company’s decade-long mission of supporting the poor and vulnerable in society.

During the visit, the WESPHIL SYSTEMS team distributed essential food items, including bags of beans, cartons of noodles, and other assorted supplies, aimed at alleviating the hardship faced by the displaced persons.

Speaking on behalf of the company, representatives emphasized that this outreach is a core part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), reinforcing their dedication to giving back to the community.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the IDPs, camp manager Mrs. Msurshima Apaa commended WESPHIL SYSTEMS for its consistent support.

She lauded the company’s director, Mr. Akuhwa, for his unwavering commitment to assisting those in dire need. Mrs. Apaa also used the opportunity to call on other corporate organizations and well-meaning individuals to follow in WESPHIL SYSTEMS’ footsteps by extending similar gestures to displaced persons.

The impact of the visit was evident in the smiles and relief on the faces of the IDPs, who have been forced into their current situation due to circumstances beyond their control. For many, the company’s intervention brought not just food but also a sense of hope and reassurance.

The delegation included company representatives  Barrister Desmond Tor Wendeh and other team members Benjamin Akor and Tersoo Aboho. This visit follows a similar outreach by WESPHIL SYSTEMS in December 2024, underscoring its sustained commitment to humanitarian causes.

Beyond its support for IDPs, the company has also played a significant role in enhancing security in rural communities by assisting security agencies and local vigilante groups. These efforts form a crucial part of WESPHIL SYSTEMS’ broader CSR strategy, aimed at making a tangible difference in society.

As WESPHIL SYSTEMS continues its humanitarian work, its efforts serve as an inspiring model for other corporate bodies to embrace philanthropy and community support as key pillars of corporate responsibility.
