CDS Commends Troops, Stresses Accountability and Professionalism in Operations

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa has continued his operational visit in front line units under  OPERATION SAFE HAVEN in Kaduna and Plateau states


General Musa addressed the troops of the newly established 2 National Mission Brigade in Samaru Kataf, Kaduna state and troops of Sector 8  Mangu, Plateau state charged them to respect and protect citizens of human rights while conducting their operations.  


He stated that, members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria are trained to protect lives and properties as well as to respect the citizens' human rights. 


General Musa further called on troops to take the fight to the criminal hide outs and flush them  out completely, we want to see results in 2025, he stated.

Additionally, the CDS warned troops to desist from any illegal practices that would bring the name of the Armed forces to disrepute, he called on troops to work as a team in order to achieve  more operational successes.


The General officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General  Abdulsalam Abubakar gave a comprehensive briefing on the security landscape within the joint operational area of Operation SAFE HAVEN


While in Southern Kaduna, the CDS also  paid homage to the  Chief of Kagoro, His Royal Highness, Agwam Ufuwai Bonet, the CDS expressed gratitude to the royal father for his unwavering support to the troops working to maintain peace and stability in the region.


General Musa was accompanied to the 2 National Mission Brigade by  the Senator representing Kaduna South senatorial district, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, the Senator expressed appreciation to the  CDS for bringing  solutions that will address insecurity in the area.
