The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has directed the Chief of Defence Staff to implement heightened security measures to support the repair of a vital electricity tower.
This directive he said, aligns with instructions from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has expressed deep concern over recent power grid disruptions in Northern Nigeria caused by external interference. The resulting outages have significantly impacted the lives of citizens across the region.
The Defence Minister emphasized the importance of protecting the repair teams working on this critical infrastructure to prevent further disruptions from non-state actors.
Additionally he said, The goal is to expedite repairs and restore stability to the power grid, ultimately benefiting all Nigerians.
The Honourable Minister calls on the public, especially those in the affected areas, to remain patient and supportive as authorities work to resolve the issue.
