The Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, represented by Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, has praised the cadets of the 71st Regular Course and postgraduate students of the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) for their commitment to serving the country.

This commendation was given during the 34th Convocation Ceremony for the NDA's 71st Regular Course and postgraduate students, held in Kaduna State.

In his address, the Vice President highlighted the resilience and dedication demonstrated by the cadets, noting, "Your commitment and discipline reflect the qualities our nation needs during these challenging times. As future leaders of the Armed Forces, you embody hope, resilience, and courage."

The convocation, he noted, marked a significant step in the careers of the cadets and postgraduate students, as they prepare to play crucial roles in shaping Nigeria's defense. He further reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring the military is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to safeguard the nation.

Speaking on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher G. Musa, OFR, emphasized the importance of continuous education and training within the military. "The NDA remains a cornerstone of Nigeria’s military excellence. We must keep investing in the development of our Armed Forces to guarantee the nation’s security and stability," he remarked.

General Musa also urged the graduating cadets to uphold the core values of integrity, service, and patriotism as they began their military careers.
