In celebration of Eid-El-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, extends his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim faithful across the nation.

He conveyed his best wishes on this significant occasion, encouraging reflection on the teachings of the Prophet, which emphasize peace, compassion, tolerance, justice, and service to humanity.

The CDS highlights that these values align with the core mission of the military—to safeguard Nigeria's territorial integrity and ensure the security and well-being of its citizens.

General Musa took the opportunity to commend the brave men and women of the Armed Forces, acknowledging their dedication and courage in addressing the various security challenges Nigeria faces. In particular, he praised the troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Zamfara State for successfully neutralizing notorious bandit leader, Halilu Buzu, and other criminals.

He also expressed gratitude to the personnel of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri for their heroic efforts in rescuing thousands of victims affected by recent devastating floods in the region.

The CDS urged the military to maintain their commitment to defending the nation, while upholding the highest standards of discipline, loyalty, and integrity that define the Nigerian Armed Forces. He called for continued collaboration with other security agencies to defeat threats to national peace and stability.

General Musa further appealed to all Nigerians to embrace the virtues of tolerance, mutual respect, and adherence to constitutional authority. "Together, we can build a prosperous Nigeria," he concluded, wishing everyone a joyful Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
