The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has vehemently condemned the tragic murder of the Head of Gatawa District, Alhaji Isa Bawa, in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State. He described the act as both heinous and unacceptable.

"We are committed to ensuring that those responsible face the full force of the law
Dr. Matawalle has instructed the Chief of Defence Staff to initiate a comprehensive investigation to swiftly identify and apprehend the culprits.
The Minister emphasized that security remains a top priority for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been providing unwavering support to the military in this regard.
Dr. Matawalle assured the public that the Nigerian Armed Forces would spare no effort in tracking down the perpetrators of this grievous crime and ensuring they are brought to justice.
"We will remain steadfast in our mission to safeguard the lives and property of all Nigerians," he affirmed.
He also extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late District Head, the community of Gatawa, and the entire Sokoto State Government.
