Nigeria and South Africa Defence Chiefs Unite for Enhanced Security Cooperation

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, was warmly welcomed by General Rudzani Maphwanya, Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), during an official visit to Pretoria today.

General Musa was honored with a Cannon Gun Salute, signifying the high esteem in which he is held. 


The discussions, held behind closed doors, centered on mutual benefits and potential areas of cooperation between the two nations. General Musa emphasized the importance of this meeting in addressing the continent's multifaceted security challenges. 


General Maphwanya underscored the significance of collaboration between Africa's two largest economies and military powers. The dialogue highlighted the necessity for mutual cooperation and the reinforcement of bilateral ties.
