The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, recently visited the troops of Operation Delta Safe, joining them for a Sallah lunch as part of his operational tour aimed at boosting their morale and ensuring maximum efficiency.
During his visit, General Musa emphasized the critical role Operation Delta Safe plays in protecting national assets, maintaining regional stability, and promoting economic activities essential for national growth. He praised the troops' unwavering vigilance and professionalism in addressing threats from criminal elements, oil thieves, and other security challenges.

The Defence Chief also highlighted the importance of unity, peace, and tolerance, values central to the Sallah celebration. He urged the troops to continue working cohesively, respecting differences, and upholding the integrity of their operations.
Real Admiral JU Okeke, the Joint Task Force (JTF) Commander, expressed his honor in welcoming General Musa to the event. He praised the CDS for his presence, noting that the gathering aligned with General Musa's philosophy and dedication to the welfare of deployed troops.
Admiral Okeke remarked that the CDS's concern for the personnel's welfare and morale is critical to their fighting spirit.
The event underscored the successful collaboration between the troops, security agencies, community leaders, and other stakeholders in promoting peace through both kinetic and non-kinetic activities.
General Musa extended his warmest greetings and best wishes to all Muslim personnel and their families on the occasion of Eid-Kabir, praying for a day filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity.
The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Defence Headquarters Departmental Chiefs, General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Land Component Commander Major General JH Abdussallam, FOC NAVTRAC Real Admiral IM Albara, and some traditional rulers.
