Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport Holds Strategic Conference to Enhance Operational Support

The Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) has initiated its Combined First and Second Quarters Conference for 2024 at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) in Benin. This conference aims to review the Corps' performance and develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its support for Nigerian Army operations.


Major General Adekunle Adebayo Adeyinka, the Commander of the Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST), highlighted the significance of the conference. He noted that this gathering provides a vital platform for assessing the Corps' accomplishments and pinpointing areas for improvement to ensure the highest level of support for the Nigerian Army (NA).

General Adeyinka encouraged attendees to engage in open, thorough, and honest discussions to devise optimal strategies for repositioning NACST to better support the NA.


He also expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, for his steadfast support of the Corps. General Adeyinka urged all officers to adopt the new initiatives designed to sustain and build on the Corps' successes.

Maj Gen Nansak Danjuma Shagaya, Commandant of NASST, welcomed the officers to the conference, urging them to pay close attention and contribute meaningfully to the discussions.


The event saw the attendance of several high-ranking officials, including CCST Maj Gen AA Adeyinka, Chief Host and Commandant NASST Maj Gen ND Shagaya, directors from Defence Headquarters, Army Headquarters, and Headquarters NACST, as well as commanders of various ST commands and officers from HQ NACST and NASST.
