The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has strongly refuted accusations by Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, alleging that the military is involved in and benefiting from terrorist activities in the state.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations (DDMO), addressed these claims. He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) respects all elected officials and maintains a professional relationship with them.

"The Defence Headquarter has noted the serious allegations made by Governor Dikko Radda during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, where he claimed that the military is aiding and profiting from terrorism in Katsina State," General Buba stated.

He further clarified that the AFN, under the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa OFR, upholds strict discipline and has zero tolerance for any form of criminal behavior within its ranks. The military remains dedicated to its operations and the fight against terrorism, undeterred by statements that might demoralize its troops.

General Buba encouraged the citizens and the media to report any credible misconduct observed within the military, ensuring that those responsible are held accountable through the proper military justice channels.
